National Campaign Against Drugs – 25 January 2026

Join us for a comprehensive workshop to raise awareness about drug abuse and its prevention, conducted by trainers Ms. Mona A. Ahmed and Mr. Mamood A. Shahab . The program begins at 12:00 – 12:15 PM with opening remarks and introductions of the trainers and participants. From 12:15 – 13:00 PM , we will cover information on drugs and addiction, including stages of addiction, types of drugs, and causes of drug abuse. A coffee break will follow from 13:00 – 13:15 PM.   The session resumes from 13:15 – 14:00 PM , focusing on the signs and effects of drug abuse, behavioral and health impacts, prevention methods, and the role of teachers in promoting awareness. The workshop concludes with a Q&A session from 14:00 – 14:10 PM , giving participants the chance to ask questions and engage in discussion.

A Legal Perspective on Ja‘fari Personal Status Law — A Seminar by Mr. Ali Alwardy

 Mr. Ali Wary, a faculty member in the College of Law, will present a seminar titled “The Approval of the Personal Status Law in Accordance with the Ja‘fari (Shiite) Jurisprudence.” The seminar will explore the historical foundations of the Ja‘fari school and its influence on personal and family law. It will also discuss the legal and social implications of adopting this framework within modern legislative systems.
